Getting holiday fever!

Everyone knows the holidays will soon be upon us.  This is the time of year that makes me very anxious, not because I love the holidays, but because I get very nervous about the holidays.  I just always feel that I do not get everything done I want to get done.  I really have not decided yet if I am going to decorate a lot or just a little.  If I have the holiday meal.  Then I will decorate more just so it is nice for my grandchildren, but if I do not have Christmas dinner, because the less I put up  the less I have to take down my energy level is not like it used to be when I was younger I decorated from top to bottom, but now it seems less is more.
I am trying to downsize my decorations, but guess what!  Went to Judy's open house at the Cinnamon Stick bought a couple more decorations.  Here is a picture of the little house I bought it is so cute and my grandchildren just love looking inside the windows that are lighted from inside.  I think they really believe somebody's living in it.  I am getting the holiday fever so I will start bringing some of my Christmas stuff out this week.  I know it is early, but it takes me a while to go through everything and my girlfriend is coming in from California, so I would like to have it ready for her when she is here over Thanksgiving.  Have not seen her in over five years.  Hope she has a winter coat.  I keep asking her when  she is moving back to Pennsylvania from sunny California and she just laughs and says California is her home now and get used to it.  This is the first time she is back to Pennsylvania since she moved out to California.  Maybe she will get homesick and stay here permanently.

Everyone have a nice day!  I will try to post as much as I can .  Not good at writing  and my typing really is  atrocious .  Still trying to figure out how to use the  blog correctly  and I am sure the more I use it the better I will get!     Thank you  for stopping in and reading my blog.   Love Nettie

  1. Hey Nettie, Love the little piece you bought at The Cinnamon Stick. Sweet! I can just picture your grandchildren looking in the windows.
Good for you for getting your stuff out now. I'm not even thinking about it. I will right after Thanksgiving though :). Have a wonderful time with your friend!

  2. Nettie, I hope you had fun last week, I know did. I just love those little houses. They remind me of when I was little and thought too that people really lived inside. Maybe someday I will get to make it to the Cinnamon Stick Store!!! Hope to see you this Thursday too.
