Loving life!

Hello  everybody .... Waking up this morning to such beautiful weather here in Pennsylvania is bringing on the spring fever. This weather really makes me wonder what Punxsutawney Phil was talking about six more weeks of winter. I do not think so, or let us say, I hope not!. I bet Joanne already has her flip-flops out and is wearing them. I am sure it is a possibility we could get snow later in March or April, but that snow never lasts long.

Friday is my last day of radiation treatment ....... with no real serious side effects...... weather cooperated, never missed a day of treatment and my sister Margie was there to drive me every day.I explained to her that it was not necessary for her to come with me that I could drive myself but she insisted she wanted to be there for the support.   She was so afraid that I was going to get too tired that I could not drive myself home, because that is one of the side effects .   I could not have asked for a better support system..  I am praying that the radiation did the job, but I will have to wait a few more weeks and get tested again to make sure.

I am enjoying reading all the blogs and seeing what everybody is getting accomplished.  Wish I could say I got more accomplish but I really have not been doing any crafts , but hope soon to be picking up my rug hooking again .

Last Saturday night was such  fun being with my grandchildren,   they came down to the house for about four hours.  .  My sister Wendy was also there so we declared it to be karaoke night,  my grandchildren absolutely love to perform and I enjoy watching them   ..  Next time I will videotape some of them singing and post a small video ....  Nothing too much to make it boring.   Spending time with my family is the best medicine in the world .

I hope everyone one has a wonderful weekend .

  1. Hi Nettie,
I'm so glad your radiation treatments are almost over and you went through them with the minimum of discomfort. I hope all the reports are good.
Maybe we'll both be at Grant Street at the same time one of these days. If you plan to be there, you can email me.
Your evening with the kids sounds like a fun time. A video of the little performers would be great!

  4. Hi Nettie, I'm so glad to see you blogging again and telling us how you are and that your radiation treatments are almost finished.
Your are in your spirit and that is so important.

Having support is always so wonderful at a time like this. I'm glad that you have such a sweet sister to take care of you and I sure hope that you will be as good as new.
I've been through chemo and radiation for advanced breast cancer at stage 3 in 2002-2003 and luckily I'm still here.
Life is really precious and I'm so glad that you have your grandkids to energize you. I hope that you will have a full recovery. Hugs. JB
